Birmingham · Signed off, not just signed up
Every Wilmac job is supervised, checked, and signed off before we pack up — so you get a certificate, a vetted tradesperson, and a job you can prove was done properly.

What we do
We only advertise the trades we can currently staff in Birmingham — and every one of them ends with the same signed-off completion.
We believe you should know exactly what you're paying for before we start. Our rates are simple, clear, and designed to respect your time and budget.
Every job starts with a minimum 1-hour charge. This covers travel, setup, and the first hour of work on site.
After the first hour, time is billed in clean half-hour increments. If a job takes 1 hour 20 minutes, you pay for 1.5 hours. You are only charged for the time we are actually working.
We don't inflate material prices. You pay the trade counter price plus a flat 25% handling and sourcing fee. Receipts are available on request.
For projects that are too complex to price remotely, we offer a free on-site quote visit. We'll assess the scope, discuss options, and give you a fixed written price—no obligation.
Work outside standard hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm) is subject to a pre-agreed supplement. This covers evening, weekend, and emergency call-out availability. The exact rate is confirmed in your quote before booking.
We're a local, fully-insured team. Here's exactly what happens when you book with Wilmac.
Fill in the short form on our website, or call us — whichever suits you. Tell us what needs doing and we'll ask the right questions so nothing gets missed. A real person reviews every enquiry.
We confirm your price and date, and take your card details upfront to secure the slot. Your card protects your booking — it means the slot is genuinely yours. If anything changes before the work starts, we agree it with you in writing first.
Our appointed tradesman arrives on time, shows Wilmac ID, and reassesses the job on arrival against what you told us. If the scope or price needs to change, we agree it with you before any work starts — no surprise invoices.
Before we call the job done, Frank — or your named Wilmac inspector — checks the work with his own eyes against our sign-off record. You get a Completion Certificate: what was done, who did it, that it passed inspection, and your guarantee. That certificate is your proof.
When we finish a job, a Wilmac supervisor checks the work against the agreed scope and signs it off. You get the completion certificate, the job reference, and the name of the person accountable.
If something isn't right, the sign-off record tells us exactly what was agreed and when — so we can put it right without argument.
Materials, finish and workmanship checked against the scope before sign-off — not after a complaint.
Vetted, supervised tradespeople who work to Wilmac's standard, not a marketplace free-for-all.
We turn up when we say, finish when we say, and leave a signed record that the job was done right.
The Wilmac Sign-Off
Before we leave, a Wilmac supervisor inspects the work against the agreed scope, photographs it, and signs it off. The customer receives a completion certificate with the job reference and the name of the person who signed it.
It is the same document whether the job was a leaking tap or a full rewire — because the standard shouldn't change with the invoice.

The plumber was on time, the work was checked before he left, and I got a signed certificate with the job reference the same day. I've never had a tradesperson do that before — it made the whole thing feel accountable.
